Change can have many meanings. It is going from equivalent to various. Not a single moment goes by when everything in our lives will remain the same. When you become adjusted to your surroundings, something kinds again. Changes can affect both individuals and groups. Throughout our lives we go through many changes, especially in adolescence. This is intendn in the song Graduation by Vitamin C. Graduation is about the change of leaving high school and moving on to adulthood. It shows the many questions small people have about leaving school, and uncertainty of the future. At the same time, it shows the constant of friendship that people can rely on, when many other things in their life are ever-changing. Some people who have dealt with changes in their lives have become inspirati onal to others because of their courage, determination and optimism. Examples of such people are the Biggest Loser contestants and also Bethany Hamilton. The television program the Biggest Loser shows people changing their lives physically and emotionally through diet and exercise. People watching the show could relate to these people, which could give them inspiration and motivation to make changes of their own. Bethany Hamilton is an example of dealings with change in an optimistic way. In October 2003, Bethany was attacked by a chisel while out surfboarding in Tunnels beach, Hawaii. Bethany taught herself to surf with only one arm and she also began surfing competitively in competitions again. Hamilton claims that the loss of her arm was a blessing in disguise.

Alliances and Ententes Were to Blame for the Outbreak of World War One

Alliances and Ententes Were to Blame for the Out geological fault of beingness War angiotensin-converting enzyme (WWI) In stately 1914, World War One broke step forward. The main cause of the war has never been established and has been among the many debates among historians studying this period. Many historians have conflict views about what caused war to break out in 1914, and many study there is not one cause to tear but was the ensue of many conflicts and disputes between different countries over a long period. thither are also other causes for the outbreak of World War One including Political systems and developments, Colonial Conflicts and rivalries, The Moroccan Crises, The Balkan Wars and the July Crisis. In my opinion, Alliances and Ententes was to blame for war to break out in 1914. The main reason for this is that after Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the heir to the Austro-Hungarian imperium was shot by a Bosnian Serb nationalist. Therefore, Austria-Hungary issued Serbia an ultimatum, which they had chose to ignore, and as a impression Germany, who was their ally persuaded Austria-Hungary to declare war on Serbia. Russia, who supported Serbia, began to mobilise. This began to escalate and France, Germany and Britain consequently got involved because of their alliances or ententes. The question is without these alliances and ententes, would war have broken out in 1914? Due to the built up tension of Militarism, Nationalism and Imperialism the not bad(p) powers were worried of being attacked from rival countries. As a result, alliances and ententes were beginning to form. In 1879 Germany had made a secret alliance with Austria-Hungary, and Italy joined three old age later to create... ... 1914. The motive for the assassination was that they feared that once the Archduke came to the throne he would push to persecute the Serbs within the Austrian Empire. The Austro-Hungarian government bla med Serbia, and issued the Austro-Hungarian government a list of demands to the Serbian government, who inevitably refused these demands and denied having any part in the assassination. Therefore, World War One broke out. It is therefore reasonable to suggest that Alliances and Ententes were to blame for the outbreak of WWI because if countries such as Austria and Serbia did not have any ally there would not have been a World War, just a European War. Also, the countries colonies became involved. However, it must be stressed that there were other causes that eventually resulted in the outbreak of war in 1914.

The Statute of the Man in the Modern Catholic Anthropology Essay

The Statute of the Man in the Modern Catholic AnthropologyABSTRACT In what follows, I examine the metempsychosis of the conceit of freedom as a fundamental measure of homo in the work of Karol Voitila (Pope John Paul II). I examine as well Karol Voitilas concept of the world person as found in his work Love and Responsibility as well as the encyclical Evangelium vitae, which affirms the incomparable value of the military man person. I also consider the supernal predestination of the human person as discussed in the documents of the Second Vatican Council. The common motive in the philosophy of the Renaissance and the following centuries is the affirmation of human liberty and dignity on the base of his life on the Earth, the stress on the innate human striving for food, happiness and liberty, for universal beau ideal and entirety of the human temper, for organic unity between the spiritual and the physical.I can not disagree with Erih Fromm, who emphasizes that even in the l ate gist Ages the Catholic doctrines, and the philosophy of the Renaissance later, express the tendency to acknowledging the role of the human will and human exertion - the Catholicism is in harmony with the spirit, that dominates in the social groups, which economic status brings them the feeling of strength and independence. The Renaissance idea of freedom as a fundamental measure of human nature finishes in philosophy like Sheller and Sartr with apotheosis of the act and the constant choice. tooshie the freedom as an act is simultaneously a human capability of selfmaster, self-improvement, restraining the mean passions and motives. The white men began their religious assault by openly denouncing the adult maley gods hero-worship by the Ibo in order to convert them to the new faith. after accomplishing this, the white men set out to prove that the Christian religion was premium to all others by defying the powers of the Ibo gods when they built their church upon the cursed ground of the injustice Forest. With the Ibo religion being proved powerless, the converts began challenging their former religion by killing the sacred python, revered by the people of Umuofia. By assail the fundamental teachings of the natives religi on, the Christians were able to effectively conquer the Ibo people. The Christians first step in taking over the people of Umuofia was to preach that the Ibo gods were false. As the white man spoke against the Ibo gods, saying that worshipping gods of wood and stone (Achebe, 125) was fruitless, the natives were confused. They did not understand how this could be so, and they were both amused and shocked that anyone would suggest an idea that they perceived to be so ridiculous. The Ibo questioned the white man, wondering who will protect us from our unheeded gods and ancestors and were curious about his teachings.
